Coach Rick

12-U Head Coach, Easton Top-Notch National, Top-Notch Elite, Top-Notch Academy

Coach Rick was born in Norwalk, California. He grew up playing sports on many of the same fields that our kids play on today.  Rick was a three-sport athlete at La Habra High School.  After high school, he played baseball at San Diego State University. He then went on to pursue a short career in the minor leagues playing with the Montreal Expos. After baseball Rick decided to join the Fire Service.  Today, he is a Captain with the Los Angeles City Fire Department.  Coach Rick’s passion and love for baseball led him to become a Coach. He has been coaching travel ball for the last four years. He has led his teams to two National Championships.  Coach Rick’s coaching style goes beyond the game of baseball.  He ultimately addresses how to bring out the very best in yourself on and off the field,  and how to play to your fullest potential. Coach Rick teaches a lot about teamwork, discipline, dedication and striving for personal excellence. These are all the same tools they will need in the real world.
